Professor Dr. Luigi Masoni is a distinguished general surgeon with over 35 years of experience, specializing in minimally invasive colorectal surgeries, oncological surgery, and pelvic floor procedures. He is renowned for developing innovative techniques, including a bilio-intestinal bypass and a three-trocar total proctocolectomy.
Dr. Masoni graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Rome "La Sapienza" in 1984, where he also completed his specialization in General Surgery. Further refining his expertise, he specialized in colorectal surgery at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, USA. His career includes leadership roles, such as heading the General Surgery Department at San Carlo di Nancy Hospital in Rome.
