Biography
Dr. Maria Doria is a distinguished nephrologist and the Head of the Nephrology and Dialysis Department at the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato in Milan, Italy. She completed her medical degree in 1988 at the University of Rome "La Sapienza," followed by specializations in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1992 and in Nephrology in 2009 at the University of Milan-Bicocca.
With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Doria has developed extensive expertise in treating acute and chronic kidney diseases, including dialysis and extracorporeal purification techniques. She is also skilled in vascular access surgery, such as creating arteriovenous fistulas and placing venous catheters for dialysis. Her clinical interests include managing critical patients requiring continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) in intensive care settings.
Dr. Doria is an active educator, conducting training for nurses and mentoring medical students.
